The digital excitation system IREG has been tested with satisfactory results in accordance with the relevant requirements of the Lloyd’s Register Type Approval System including the optional function: Redundancy, Reactive load sharing, Harmonic Analyzer.
Company Uniper has placed an order for the modernization of 3 static excitation systems for the hydro power plant Dessau, on the river Lech. The old systems will be modernized in the next 2 years. The compounded static excitation system IREG will be installed.
Princess Cruises has placed the next order for an AVR replacement. After the replacement on Island Princess in 2020, now the replacement on vessel Coral Princess is in progress. This concerns the delivery of 4 digital IREG excitation systems to replace the existing Alstom voltage regulators for feeding the 3 x 18 MVA diesel generators + 1 GE excitation system for a gas turbine generator.
A hydro power plant project in the city of Verla, in southern Finland, is currently in progress together with the company Elin. Elin supplies the generator and LST supplies the excitation system IREG.
